I have a Total Saddle Fit girth for my younger horse, Rory. I got it after borrowing a friend’s to try out. I can’t say enough good things about this girth! Rory is such a Drama King about his saddle placement and has the forward girth groove and laid back shoulder blade which makes it difficult to keep the saddle in position. His dam was the same, but we didn’t have Total Saddle Fit girths when I was riding her. I tried a bunch of different pads and types of girth on Rory before we found the TSF girth. The closest I got to acceptable was a string girth done up too loose (like unsafe loose) and then he fussed about the side to side instability. The TSF allowed me to ride Rory – I mean really ride him and get him working to build up his body strength and muscle. The TSF girth has been a complete game changer for us.

The girth itself is a quality piece of tack. Lovely and supple with triple elastic at both ends. Just wait until you see the tiny box it’s going to arrive in! It’s very wide which nicely spreads out the pressure. I’ve been using it on both my horses so it’s getting a workout and still looks like new. And we have hacked through lots of mud and put a lot of sweat into it. I am saving my nickels for a dressage TSF girth!

      Erin,
Thank you so so much! That means so much for you to share that, and I’m truly touched to be able to help your horse!

I was initially using a different anatomical girth with my cc saddle and purchased a second TSF girth, as I was impressed with the quality of the one I had purchased for my dressage saddle. The TSF girth outperforms my previous anatomical girth in every category–price point, leather quality, stitching, sizing (my previous one stretched 3 inches over a very short period of time), and function.

I also have to applaud their great customer service. I had to exchange sizes and my new girth was shipped out to me quickly and with ease. Every e-mail I received from TSF was professional and prompt.

Awesome girth. Bought one to try (have two horses I’m competing), and love it so just ordered another. High quality, nice and softly padded. Good for sensitive TB’s!!

I absolutely LOVE this girth! I lease a 12.3 hand pony that would spook at EVERYTHING and she always bucked or tossed her head over jumps and transitions especially at the canter. This girth has brought me a complete different pony. She rides with a relaxed topping, and hardly spooks now. The reason being, the saddle would slip up onto her withers and pinch, this caused adrenaline to be released. Then. Any time something she saw or heard she would spook, releasing all of the adrenaline into the spook then starting all over again when it pinched. This girth works WONDERS. It keeps the saddle off her back and allows me to trust her completely. I am no comfortable cantering her and jumping her with no problems at all. Thank you so much for creating your amazing product, it truly works miracles.

There is another girl in my barn who has the jump girth and has had it for a couple years and it still looks fabulous. I looked into anatomic girths when I first saw it and the TSF girth always stuck in my brain. I have a narrow and downhill horse, who is also a short back athletic build with a forward girth groove (I hit the jackpot with her, haha). When it was time to purchase a new girth, I scrimped and saved and purchased this one. I did have to exchange for a size larger (she is regularly 44″, takes a 46″ in anatomic) and TSF customer care had me swapped out and a new girth in my hands within the week. The quality of the leather and the elastic is top notch, it is soft and supple, and the elastic has a good amount of stretch but it doesn’t lose its elasticity over time. The girth is also fairly wide, at least my hand’s width so I feel this width helps disperse the pressure over a wider area and keep my horse comfortable. I did have to put a cover on it because in addition to my mare’s wonderful confirmation she also has whorls just behind her armpits that started to rub but overall this girth has helped my saddle sit better and stay in place longer and I love/recommend it so much I even bought the synthetic dressage version.

I was very impressed with the quality of this girth. The leather is excellent and the elastic feels sturdy enough to Keep its elasticity for a long time and the fit was everything it was advertised to be .

After riding in this girth for 2 weeks, there is a noticeable difference in the pony’s comfort and improvement in his overall movement. The saddle doesn’t slide forward as easily and seems much happier.

I am so glad I bought the TSF Shoulder Relief Girth! It sits beautifully on my OTTB, right in the groove, and my billets are straight. I noticed a great difference in his jump and way of going with this girth.

The leather is high quality, the elastic is tough, and the craftsmanship is top notch!

Thanks for such a great product!

Was introduced to your Dressage girth by the person I purchased a saddle from. The girth was way too small for my Fresian/Morgan cross…so shopped around for anything I could find that was long enough. Found nothing. Then had the brainstorm to purchase a jump/AP style that would be the correct length…bingo, it works. I used it for the first time yesterday, no saddle slipping, and I feel my horse moved better in it. I just wish you made a Western Style in a 43″ inch!!!
Oh, and thanks for the beautiful black baseball cap with your orangr logo on it. I really needed a new black cap.
Let me know if you ever consider making larger Western cinches, I will purchase one.
    Thank you,

This girth was a miracle for my sensitive OTTB mare. Her girthline is more forward than where the saddle needs to sit, so my regular fleece girth would usually ride up into her elbows and pull my saddle up her shoulders with it. I also Started noticing soreness along her girthline and tightness in her chest. Since using the total saddle fit girth, she has felt much freer in her shoulders, isn’t sore from the girth, and it keeps my saddle right in place. AMAZINGLY helpful girth!!!

This girth is for my daughter’s pony and it is just what we were looking for. She’s been using it for a month now, riding 6 times a week. It allows room for her pony’s shoulder to move which we were looking for. He has a short back and was also breaking in the canter but now with this girth the fit is perfect and he doesn’t break. It has held up really well and is easy to wipe down, clean and condition. The elastic is strong and the buckles seem like they will hold up well.

I got this for my young TB because his other girth was making his elbows flakey. I think he’s still getting used to the different placement so wiggles a little being racked up, but under saddle he is fine. The quality is better than I expected, balanced between durable and supple. Looks even better lightly oiled. The elastic is definitely going to last.
