Specifically designed for the 1.25″ billets of Australian and trail saddles, the Shoulder Relief Girth AUSSIE & TRAIL actually changes the position and angle of the billets to prevent the saddle tree from interfering with the shoulder (details here).
The Shoulder Relief Girth AUSSIE & TRAIL is based around the design of the massively successful Western Shoulder Relief Cinch, but with 1.25″ buckles and a removable overgirth strap
to be compatible with all styles of Aussie and trail saddles. In fact, it uses the same liners as our Shoulder Relief Cinch, which means you get to choose between limestone neoprene, wool felt and wool fleece liners. It also has the following features:
- Stainless steel roller buckles.
- Top grade saddlery leather body with stainless steel hardware.
- Removable optional overgirth strap, included with purchase.
- Velcro backing for adhering to the removable liner.
- 3 liner (cover) choices:
- Thick and soft 10mm limestone neoprene liner (all other neoprene girths on the market are a thinner 5mm).
- Plush 100% wool fleece liner available in black or white (+ 29.95 to the price of the girth).
- 12 mm thick real wool felt liner in grey (+ 29.95 to the price of the girth).
- Available in 30 through 38 inch lengths.

Works great for my little mule. Finally no galls on her elbow. Thank goodness. Wish you had a slightly longer one as it would be easier to do up. Hopefully the leather will stretch an inch or two over time.

I haven’t used this cinch yet. I do have a western cinch that I use on EVERY horse, I ride western. The western cinch, I feel is helping my horses lift their shoulders. I have one mare that made instant strides in her training in just 3 rides. I like the center rings with the english buckles since this will be used on an endurance horse with a RP saddle and breast collar. This is for a particular mare who always gets elbow wounds and we can’t tighten the crupper anymore. Hoping this cinch helps keep her skin healthy and happy.
